Think, Reflect, Pray:
"God is love. The most powerful demonstration of a sender's love is to let its receiver know that the sender suffers the pain the recipient suffers -- in God's case infinitely, for there is nothing halfway about God. So God incarnated himself, assuming a human aspect in which God could and would suffer. Incarnated, he voluntarily endured the most agonizing death known in his day, in order to break through each recipient's shell and let people know that they are loved. -Houston Smith, The Soul of Christianity

Who Are We?
Grace Mission Statement
The community of Grace invites all persons to be nurtured into a relationship with Jesus Christ through fellowship, service, study, worship and witness.
Our Vision Statement
Grace United Methodist Church -- A Christ-centered community in loving relationship with God and neighbor.
Grace is a two-campus congregation.
Our facility at 520 S. Harrison, Olathe, is our mission center. There we continue ministries to the community and the world with programs for persons of all ages and circumstances.
We also have a vibrant and growing congregation, Iglesia Centro de Gracia, which worships there on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m., led by Pastor Sylvia Romero.

Coming soon...
It has been my pleasure to design and maintain the website for the last approx. 10 years. The site began as a project of "the technology committee" - a group of about 4 or 5 of us that met in a tiny room in the basement of the old building on Harrison, which also included Fred Brown and the late Keith Tolson. It started as one or two pages hosted on a free web service, and has gradually grown from there.
This is the last version of the Grace website that will be produced by a volunteer member. Grace is growing and has need for a website that is a level or two beyond what a volunteer has the time or abilities to produce! Soon we will have an event to celebrate: the launching of a powerful new Grace website that will allow direct and immediate updating by staff and will also interface with the current church membership database system! -- Mark
