Friday Family Movie Night!
Join us on the 3rd Friday of the month for family movie night. We select family friendly movies for all ages and project it onto the large white wall in our Celebration Center. We remove a section of chairs and invite you to bring your lawn chairs, blankets, sleeping bags, bean bags or whatever you are comfortable on and spread out on the floor. We have a small concession stand set up with popcorn, drinks and candy for you to purchase. Or you may bring your own snacks. Here are the upcoming movies: Friday, August 18 - "Ice Age" Friday, September 15 - "Brother Bear" Friday, October 20 - TBA (planning a fall party in conjunction with our pumpkin patch)
Chiefs Tailgate Event
Are you ready for some football? We are!!!!! Join us for a fun tailgate party Sunday, September 17. The Chiefs will take on the Denver Broncos at 3:15 pm. Again this year, we will have hot grills ready for you to cook your own meat, starting around 2:00 pm. Also bring whatever else you enjoy to munch on while watching the game. We will provide cool drinks and chiefs cake for dessert. We'll also get the popcorn going for munching during the game. New this year, the game will be shown on the large wall in the Celebration Center instead of outdoors. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and we'll spread out and enjoy the game inside the cool comfort. Door prizes will be drawn for throughout the game, you must be present to win.
Drop 'N Shop
Again this year we are offering an afternoon of holiday movies and fun for kids ages 3 (and potty trained) and up. Parents may drop off children anytime between 1:00 and 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 16. The cost is $5.00 per child. They will enjoy holiday movie classics, games, and a snack.
Children's Non-Competitive Soccer Program
This great program will be offered again starting in January 2007. It's for kids ages 4 & 5 and 6 & 7. Games will be played on Saturday in the gym at Center of Grace, 520 S. Harrison. Watch for announcements in October for more information about the program and registration form. Trivia Night is coming in 2007
The theme song of a 70's TV show includes the line "Gee, our old LaSalle ran great". What was the show? Know the answer? Get your team together and brush up on your trivia. We are planning a trivia night for everyone to participate in. Teams will have a maximum of ten players. Cost is $5.00 per person. You can put your own team together or show up and play on the house team. There will be a variety of questions from TV&Movies to Grace Church History to Music to Sports. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team. Watch for more information about this new and exciting event coming in 2007!!!
