Kids in Christ
Kids in Christ (KIC) is a social and service organization open to all 5th and 6th graders. We have monthly opportunities to serve those in need by doing mission work for the Lord. While activities vary each year, we visit Good Samaritan Nursing Home on a regular basis. This is a popular and frequently requested activity. At Thanksgiving, KIC members raised money, shopped for food, and donated it to families in need. We also helped several people have a merrier Christmas when we took money (the kids earned it during a fundraiser) and bought presents for them. Food for a homeless shelter has been prepared when KIC went to the Salvation Army. Each month brings a new opportunity for service...from stuffing Easter eggs to bringing soup for our Grace food pantry.
Kids in Christ is also a very social group. We sponsor events like a swimming party in the winter, Bump City field trip, pizza party, and an overnight lock- in for members who have regularly attended KIC events. We have fun as we are letting our light shine into the world.
We require kids to have a notarized medical release form, permission slip, and permission to play in the gym on file with the KIC sponsors before attending any event. These forms are easy to do, necessary, and are not negotiable.
Come check us out! There's always room for one more in KIC.
