Senior Adult Ministries
It's Movie Time!
Y.E.S. (Young Energetic Seniors) is reviving the matinee movies. We welcome anyone that has an afternoon free, regardless of age, to join us. Movie day will be the first Wednesday of the month starting October 3, at the AMC theater at 119th and Strangline. The chosen movie and sign-up sheet will be posted on the Senior Bulletin Board the Sunday before. If you wish to carpool or can't get to the bulletin board, please contact Pat at 782-4366.
Silver Set
Persons in our church family who are 55 years and over, meet for a catered meal fellowship, and a program. This special group meets in the Fellowship Hall (at Center of Grace) the second Sunday of the even numbered months at noon.
Bible Study
The group studies the Holy Bible for insight into the meaning for persons at the time it was written, and for the message these passages carry for us in today's society. Any person interested in a discussion/study group is welcome. Tuesdays, 10:00 .m. - 11:30 a.m.
Day Trips
Points of interest are visited on a regularly scheduled basis with an occasional overnight trip. Information is provided through the montly Older Adult Ministry newsletter and on the Older Adult bulletin board. For more information, contact Pastor Joyce, 859-0111 ext 202
Learning Opportunities for Older Adults
The newest program initiated by the Older Adult Council will meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Classes will be offered on health issues, economic problems, historical facts and on topics of current interest to the participants. This is an interdenominational education program.
