
Bilingual VBS Team *
Help meet the spiritual needs of the growing Hispanic community. Teach or assist children for four evenings in the summer for Vacation Bible School. Material provided. Spanish speakers are not required.
Clothing Closet Ministry
Sort and hang clothing donations. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Distribute clothes to families in need Wednesdays 5:00 - 7:30 pm and Saturdays 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Community Dinner Assistant *
Work with a team to provide a free dinner at the Center of Grace for anyone who wants to come. Prepare the food, serve the food and clean up afterward. Dinner is served from 5:00-6:30 p.m. each Wednesday and Thursday. Serve once a month, once a year or anywhere in between.
Computer Lab Assistant *
Work with people who do not have regular access to a computer. Answer basic computer questions and assist visitors with any needs they have. Serve once a month. Contact Pastor Sylvia.
ESL Adult Tutor
Work one on one or in a small group practicing reading, vocabulary and conversation in English. No other language but English is necessary. English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – noon and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Center of Grace. Serve for one morning or evening each week or each month.
ESL Driver *
Drive the church bus to pick up adults and children for whom there is no public transportation for classes. Serve one morning or evening a week, Monday through Thursday.
Green Team
Promoting good stewardship of natural resources through various environmental programs.
Habitat for Humanity Work Day
Habitat for Humanity believes everyone deserves a decent home so lets help build one on Saturday, September 18, 2010.
Meals on Wheels Driver *
Deliver hot meals to homebound residents in Olathe. Serve one morning a week or sub for a regular volunteer for a shorter commitment.
Grace Extravaganza Team
Plan and execute the major fund-raising event to send groups on mission trips around the U. S. and Mexico. The auction is Friday, March 2, 2012.
Tochimizolco Mission Team Member
Provide medical and dental care for families living in rural Mexico during the week after Easter. Spanish speakers are not required.
Health Screenings
Help weigh, check blood pressures, and blood sugars. We need nurses, Spanish speakers and non-medical personnel on Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Gleaning Fields*
Glean farm fields in the Kansas City area to pick produce left after harvest to donate to those who are in need. Volunteers of all ages are welcome! If you are interested in more information or would like to volunteer contact Lee Scudder.
